Exploring La Jolla Cove
La Jolla Cove has been on my list of places to visit ever since I moved to LA. Being a wildlife (specifically marine life) geek, the prospect of being able to see sea lions up close and personal was too
The Lafayette Hotel
We're spending this weekend in San Deigo, meeting up with some family and exploring more of our neighboring city we love so much! Last time we visited with the pups and spent most of our time near Coronado. This time, our
Sundays in the Pacific
Just came back from the most amazing weekend. I finished off my open water diver certification and completed three dives out by Catalina. Totaling around two hours, the ride out to the dive spots is always a little rough. We did catch
Dessert, dessert, dessert!
I'm a sucker for sweets and am constantly on the hunt for cute and delicious desserts. Today, I'm sharing some of my favorite sweet spots that I've discovered thus far! Chibiscus in West Hollywood is a small Asian cafe that is a perfect fusion between Korean, Taiwanese, and Japanese palates. We were recommended their brick toast desserts and just had to get the "Chibi Toast" because, well, it was named for Chibi! We've previously tried the brick toast at Coffee Tomo before but this one definitely takes the cake.
14 of our favorite dog-friendly spots in LA
Our friends at the LA Tourism Board recently invited us to share some of our favorite dog-friendly spots in Los Angeles. We were super excited to put together this list because one of the reasons we wanted to move here
Weekend Getaway in San Diego
We've been owing the pups a road trip somewhere since we moved to California a year ago, and this weekend we finally had the chance to explore San Diego! The lovely team at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort set us up with a
Mini Staycation in West Hollywood
It's been a crazy busy couple of weeks, so we decided to take a mini weekend trip just across the city and away from our place for some good food and relaxation for the weekend. West Hollywood might not seem that far away, but with the LA traffic, it's certainly hard for us to always get out to the east side and explore the other part of the city. We stayed at The Orlando Hotel, which sits right on the corner of Orlando and 3rd St, walking distance from a ton of trendy boutique stores and restaurants in the heart of WeHo.
Wisdom Tree Hike
Our first hike (or should I say, baby hike) in Los Angeles was Runyon many months ago, and this weekend we finally made time to trek out to our second. We climbed up to Cahuenga Peak where the Wisdom Tree sits overlooking
Restaurant Week Round 2!
The wonderful team at @discoverLA (a.k.a. the fab LA Tourism Board) invited me out to their second Restaurant Week this year. You may have seen my photos from the last two-week long event that they hosted through @dineLA. This time, we gave
Mini SoCal Roadtrip
Mini roadtrip excursion completed this weekend! We ventured out to the Salton Sea, Salvation Mountain, and Imperial Sand Dunes. Make sure to plug your nose or breathe through your mouth if you do decide to visit the Salton Sea. There are
Arts District + LACMA
Set out on a hunt for new photo spots with new friends today! We found walls splashed with the color of sunshine, street art covering the side walks of the Arts District, and visited the always-gorgeous Urban Lights at LACMA.
Golden State
Soaked in the cotton candy colored skies this evening with my favorites. Can't wait for poor Cheebs to heal up and be sans post-surgery bald patch.
