If your dog needs a cone of shame, get this one
Yesterday, Chibi had a rough day. She got spayed.
While this is a super common procedure that is done pretty much every day, surgery and recovery time is never fun. We tried a few different e-collars for Kokoro last year when she had her “big day,” and found this fantastic soft cone at a small local pet store.
Oh yes, Kokoro got spayed during the most wonderful time of the year.
We’ve been using the comfy cone for Chibi as well, and it’s been working great (or as great as a giant cone of awkwardness can get). It’s lightweight and made of a padding that makes it easy on the dog to wear around their neck.
The collar also has little loops where it wraps around the neck so you can attach it to the dog’s collar to ensure it will not fall off. The two ends velcro together in place so putting it on is easy peasy. We’d definitely recommend going with this if you’re in need of an elizabethan collar. You can find it on Amazon in various sizes here.
