Delicious Italian Eats

Ahhh… I finally reached the first Saturday of 2017 where I had a chance to sleep in. With the spontaneous traveling last month and two full weekends of diving, I’ve been looking forward to a slow Saturday for quite a while. The only thing on the books for today was visiting a new spot for good eats… no complaints here!

The kind folks from Wagstaff invited us to experience Vinoteca, a cute little Italian place located adjacent to Culina at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills.

We started off with a latte that was brewed to perfection. We ordered the regular latte, but there was a nutella latte on the menu that I’m dying to go back and try!

You can actually order from both the Culina and Vinoteca menus when dining (at least we were allowed to for today!). We got the Burratta Pizzetta and Steak Carpaccio from Vinoteca, and selected a secondi from Culina, the Shrimp & Pancetta Fusilli. Each of the dishes were really well thought out in terms of balance in flavor and texture, but the Burratta Pizzetta was by far my favorite!

And, as they say, the best was definitely saved for last. I’m a serious sucker for sweets so I had to take a peek at their dessert menu. We ordered the Tiramisu, which came (surprisingly) in a cute little mason jar! The trendy glass container wasn’t just for presentation though – the chef crafted the tiramisu as it should have been, soaked in an espresso, rum, and sugar liquid that made the cake super moist and airy.

Plus, what’s cool is that although it’s a café by day, Vinoteca doubles as a fancy wine bar at night. We’ll definitely have to make a trip back another day after sunset to experience the second side of the restaurant!

Thanks again to the kind team at Wagstaff and Vinoteca for taking care of us and giving us the opportunity to try the amazing food.
