Mini Staycation in West Hollywood

It’s been a crazy busy couple of weeks, so we decided to take a mini weekend trip just across the city and away from our place for some good food and relaxation for the weekend.

West Hollywood might not seem that far away, but with the LA traffic, it’s certainly hard for us to always get out to the east side and explore the other part of the city. We stayed at The Orlando Hotel, which sits right on the corner of Orlando and 3rd St, walking distance from a ton of trendy boutique stores and restaurants in the heart of WeHo.

The hotel also has a Bow Wow package and is dog friendly for four-legged guests! How awesome is that? It’s not often that travel accommodates for pups so we always like to pass along the dog-friendly love. Their services include:

  • Doggie Pick-Up and shuttle service to daycare service
  •  A full day of play at the daycare
  • Doggie turn-down service
  • Special treat and an Orlando Hotel water bowl to take home

The hotel itself was cute and clean. We’ve been to a lot of smaller boutique hotels that feel old in the bones, and despite their “renovated” face-lift, just don’t quite feel up to par. This was definitely not the case for The Orlando.

We got a Deluxe King room that faced 3rd street, so it was perfect for people watching down on the busy street and for seeing the sun set over the SoCal mountains. Upon check-in, the staff was so friendly and great and even called us about 15 minutes after we got to our room to check and make sure we got settled in okay.

After a day of eating our way through Koreatown, it was nice to crawl into the clean sheets, turn on the TV, and enjoy our pastries from Paris Baguette.

Just as the sun was going down, we heard a knock on the door. One of the hotel staff delivered these two “Sweet Dreams” chocolates and the weather forecast for tomorrow. What a nice touch!

Thanks so much to the team at The Orlando Hotel for a relaxing stay. I only wish I could have visited the spa this time! For sure, it’ll be on my list for my next weekend staycation in WeHo.
