Pet-friendly Stay in Solvang
We checked Little Denmark off the list of mini roadtrips this weekend! I’d heard about the wineries and breweries in Solvang that welcome fluffy companions to their tastings and we finally had a chance to stop by for a short visit with Kokoro and Chibi in tow. Who knew this cute little town was so dog friendly? Everywhere we went, the dogs got tons of attention and love, and we were able to bring them with us everywhere throughout the weekend.
The drive to Solvang took just under 3 hours from LA with the occasional slow-down on the 101 freeway. The views starting from the Santa Barbara coast and all the way into Solvang were amazing, seen from a one-lane hilly road that winded through the mountains and above the ocean.
We stayed at The Landsby, a cute boutique hotel located right in the heart of Little Denmark and just a few steps away from the local wineries and bakeries.
The Landsby is pet friendly, but only some of their rooms accomodate dogs. Our top-floor room was furnished in a modern style that I am in love with! Upon arrival, there was already a placemat and two bowls set up for the pups.
Our room also opened out to a private balcony that looked right down into Little Denmark. Kokoro and Chibi loved people watching from the outdoor space and following the clip clop of the occasional horse-drawn carriage passing by.
As usual, Chibi quickly found all of the tight squeezes in the room and made herself at home.
I went nuts taking photos of the pups in the perfectly lit and decorated room as the pups sniffed around, got comfortable, and had a round of playtime before we set out to walk around and explore Little Denmark.
Thanks so much to our friends at The Landsby for the lovely accommodations over the weekend! Stay tuned for our post on what we did, ate, and drank around this cute little town.
