The best way to keep your pup hydrated at home
Anyone else feel like it’s getting HOT already this summer? We’ve suffered through a couple of heat waves already here in LA, and I’m always worried about the dogs having enough fresh water to keep them hydrated and cool while we aren’t home.
The worst is coming home when it’s hot and stuffy only to find that the pups have gone through all their water already…

Not to mention, crumbs and dog hair get stuck in their water bowls and are a pain to clean out regularly.
Recently, we installed the PetSafe® Drinkwell® 1/2 Gallon Pet Fountain in our home for the pups and it’s been a saving grace for keeping them hydrated with fresh, filtered water on the daily!
The fountain comes in three sizes (1/2, 1, and 2 Gallon) for different sizes of dogs. We chose the 1/2 gallon since the pups are on the small size.

We love that the free-falling water stream is continuous and encourages pets to drink more. Sometimes, flat water that’s been standing in the bowl for hours on end just isn’t appetizing to pups. The continuous flow of water also helps prevent bacteria growth, ew!
The PetSafe® Drinkwell® 1/2 Gallon Pet Fountain has both a foam filter and carbon filter that catches hair and dirt so that it doesn’t continue to circulate inside the bowl. Plus, that water flow is customizable from a free-falling stream to virtually silent, so no need to worry about extra noise in the house.

The BPA-free plastic design is extremely easy to assemble and disassemble. It took me about 10 minutes to clean all of the parts and put everything together. There is no need to hook the fountain up to a water source — simply add fresh water yourself and the fountain will do the rest of the work!

Staying hydrated is so important, especially during hot summer days. Big thanks to the team at PetSafe for developing this nifty gadget to keep our doggos nice and watered, all day long.
