Smorgasburg LA
Embarked on yet another food adventure this past weekend with a couple friends! This time we visited Smorgasburg LA, a weekly market that takes place downtown. Last summer I saw so many photos of drool-worthy food on my Instagram feed, so I was super excited when Smorgasburg returned this winter!

First up was some Garlic Butter shrimp, macaroni salad, chilled pineapple, and rice with garlic sauce and furikake served in a pineapple from Shrimp Daddy. I was told the line is usually ridiculous for this spot, but because it was drizzling a bit and LA residents are terrified of rain, there was hardly a wait ;)
To quench my thirst, I got a blood orange elderberry tea from PopdUp just a couple vendors down from Shrimp Daddy. The added basil seeds (similar to chia seeds) and slice of blood orange were yummy as well.
Next up were some handcrafted colorful Korean mandu (dumplings) from Workaholic before we made TWO stops for dessert.

Thank goodness @bakeneats is a fan of sweets like I am. We got an acai bowl from Amazebowls, which I’ve been wanting to try ever since I saw their beautifully made bowls on my Instagram feed. We topped off our multi-course lunch with matcha ice cream in a puffy egg waffle cone, topped with Pocky and oreos from Yellow Business. Killer!
Smorgasburg LA, I’ll definitely be back. There were so many other food vendors that looked amazing that I didn’t have stomach space for. Till next time!
