Stayjax Seat Mats (It rhymes!)

Today is a good day. The sun is shining and it’s Friday. PLUS, I got my car detailed today. Woohoo!

I’ve been looking for a solution for my new coupe since we moved to Los Angeles last year. I love my dogs, but I also love a clean car. The dog fur flying around everywhere was just not going to be acceptable. For the past few months, I’ve been having the pups ride around in the carriers we use for them to fly – sort of like a little car seat. They worked okay, but fur was still flying everywhere and the carriers were just getting really dirty.

So, when the lovely people at Stayjax sent me some of their seat mats to try out, I jumped at the opportunity. We took the new mats out for a test run today with the pups, and I have to say the dogs seemed to love them.

Process wise, they were pretty easy to install. The mats neatly unroll right on to your seat cushion or back and have adjustable elastic straps that you simply hook onto the bottom portion of your seat.

I love how sleek the design of these mats is too! They blend right in with the style of my car and don’t look tacky at all. The best part about the surface is that it helps the pups not slide around and gives them a good grip while riding in the car.

They also serve the perfect purpose of protecting my seats from accumulating loads of dog hair. Of course, as soon as I placed Chibi on to my NEWLY detailed seat, she had an itch in her ear and shook it out, loose hairs flying about.

Thankfully the Stayjax mats caught the debris. I got my handheld vacuum and it sucked all of the hair off the smooth surface of the mat. They can also be easily wiped down for cleaning.

Thanks again @stayjax team! We love the work that you’re doing and can’t wait to see what other innovations you guys come up with.
