We are moving into a new house soon and I’m soooo excited. Even more perfect was that the team at Zevo invited us to try out their Whole Home Protection System, consisting of sprays and traps to keep your home free of annoying pests. This has been the perfect solution for us as we’ve been getting ready to move in to our new house!
After moving to California, I found that finding bugs in your house is just a part of living in this climate. Especially cockroaches… I’ve definitely been scared once or twice coming across these guys here. You never see them in the midwest!
The best part about the Zevo Whole Home Protection System is that the entire line is a safe solution to use on both the pests you see (with the sprays), AND the ones that you don’t (with the traps). Because you know if you see one ant or roach, there has to be an army of them somewhere nearby. Those little guys do not travel solo.
Of course, keeping a clean and tidy home can help prevent unwanted visits from bugs and insects, but that doesn’t always do the trick. Ants like to come inside when it’s too hot during the summer and enjoy the air conditioning that you’ve got cooling down your house. Having Kokoro and Chibi also makes it harder to keep things totally clean, and I’m always worried about them being harmed by chemicals that we use in human products.
Zevo’s sprays and insect traps are SAFE for pets, so I don’t have to worry about them sniffing around after we spray to prevent or eliminate bugs in the house.
The line is meant to be used inside your home (NOT on your body like mosquito repellant!) – Zevo Flying Insect Trap works alongside the sprays for full home protection as the traps continuously attract and eliminate flying insects to trap the flying bugs you don’t see.
What’s in Zevo products if not chemicals, you ask? There are four different formulas, each target towards a different “category” of pest: crawling, flying, stinging. All of the spray’s active ingredients are common essential oils, primarily cinnamon oil, lemongrass oil, and geraniol.
The insect traps that you can plug into the wall eliminates flying insects like house flies, fruit flies, gnats, and more. So I like having this one plugged in near the kitchen, where fruit flies are commonly found. The UV and blue light are bio-attractants that lure insects towards the device. Then, the super sticky adhesive backing traps the little buggers. This plug-in works the best in a location where there aren’t competing light sources, so away from windows or lamps.
Huge thanks to the Zevo team for inviting us to try out this amazing set of products. In the past, when we’ve had to fashion DIY traps for fruit flies without knowing about these products. Now we can protect our new home and our pups without the harsh chemicals that you normally find in alternative pest control products!
