The Best Tapas in LA
This weekend we drove out to Glendale to visit the newly opened Bacari GDL! If you’re located in LA and not familiar with the Bacari restaurants, you are definitely missing out. ?
Bacari PDR in Playa Del Rey was just down the street from our old apartment and instantly became our favorite tapas style New American restaurant after we visited for the first time. Hands down, the best french toast I’ve had anywhere in my entire life. Every group of friends we bring there for bottomless mimosas and brunch has agreed with our raving reviews of their food.
So when we heard that Bacari GDL had opened and were invited to try out their expanded menu selection, I couldn’t say no!
We started out with the Cheese & Salami platter, consisting of a delectable selection of cheese, salami, dried apricots (BOMB!), and capers. I could probably live off just this platter for the rest of my life.
Since all Bacari restaurants are tapas style, the server recommended 2-3 plates per person. We picked the Bone Marrow, Asparagus with a sous vide egg, a Formage Blanc pizza with bacon, mozzerella, and scallions, and finished off with a Honey Marscapone dessert.
I was expecting everything to be refined and delicious, and each dish definitely exceeded those expectations!
Thanks so much to the Bacari GDL crew for hosting us. Definitely check out one of their three locations if you are in the mood for some delicious New American style tapas!
