The Perfect Calming Chews To Soothe Your Dog Over The Holidays
The holidays are upon us… I can’t believe it! In the blink of an eye, 2018 has almost completely gone by. Every December, we take advantage of the holidays and take a long trip somewhere to unwind. This year, we’re going to Japan again for two weeks!
While I love traveling, one of the things that prevents me from traveling more is leaving my two pups. We generally take them with us whenever we fly domestically, but international travel with dogs is very difficult (and I don’t think they would appreciate 12 hours of sitting on a plane).
Kokoro is very independent and pretty good about staying home or with a sitter, but Chibi has much more anxiety so we’re always looking for ways to help keep her calm and comfortable when we leave her to travel, especially if she has to stay over at a friend or relative’s house for an extended period of time.
Recently, the team at VetriScience recently reached out to us to share their Composure Calming chews!

Composure is veterinarian-formulated to help manage a pet’s stress. It’s been clinically shown to work within just 30 minutes and lasts up to four hours. Each chicken liver flavored chew contains key ingredients like colostrum, l-theanine and thiamine, all recognized ingredients to support calmer behavior and relaxation.

Not only are they a great way to help calm your pet during this busy and stressful time of year, they look and smell great. Chibi was drooling with excitement as I took these shots and wasted no time at all chomping down her first sample of Composure.

These calming supplements will be added to Kokoro & Chibi’s bin of essential supplies for when they go to their sitter for two weeks! We’re also excited to have them on hand even for vet trips, house guests, grooming trips, or even busy days at the office where the pups can use some help relaxing.
Travel can be tough for both humans and pups, but thankfully I can leave for Japan with some peace of mind knowing we have effective calming chews to help the little ones adjust while we’re gone.
